Must have list for 2014

Since I am stone broke and would probably rent out my cat for strokes if I could earn money from it, I’ve decided to put together a bit of a lust have list. There is no way I’ll be able to afford very much of anything on this list, but I thought I’d get it out of my system by publishing it.

Yankee Candle
Recently I spotted some really festive-looking candles in the florist at Constantia Village. Ofcourse they were the awesome Yankee Candles that so many bloggers talk about. Sadly, they only had stock of the large jars, which were R350 – way too much for a candle in my opinion.

But then, while reading MotherCityMom’s blog (I think), I saw she mentioned http://www.creativecandles.co.za had some Yankee Candles. Cue: angels singing and harps playing.

The flavours I’d love to try include: honey & spice, shea butter and cedarwood, soft blanket and tangerine & vanilla.

Prices range from R160 – R269 for the medium and small candles.

Makeup storage
I asked for one from The Beauty Box for Christmas, but I realised when I put that on my wishlist, it was more of a dream than anything else. Besides R899 for a 3 drawer organiser is a little mad, right? I’m pretty prepared to give another brand a go. Anyone know of cheaper alternatives? Got this for my birthday! Lucky me 🙂

Real Techniques brushes
So, I realise now I really should have picked up a bunch of these from Boots while I was in the UK. Alas. I see that All4women’s online shop has a few for…okay…prices.

On my radar is the Starter Set which is about R350, including duties, from all4women, the Core Collection for R345 also from the same site and the Face Brush for R236.

Curvy Kate Dreamcatcher Petrol bra
This one was on my lust list last year. FYI, I got the Panache Cleo Jessie bra that was featured on the same list, but this one is still so pretty. Figleaves, Belle Lingerie… I’m coming for you!

Mavala Mava-dry spray
Seriously, I’m sick of waffled nails.

Corkboard
I’m in the process of trying to put my room in order. It’s sort of been stuck in a timewarp from when I was 16 and I reckon it’s about time that I change things up. I figured I could still keep all my quotes and post-its lying about, but I could have them look more orderly. Enter the corkboard.

I saw a really nice curled up cat shape one from Takealot, otherwise I’m thinking just a plain rectangle one. Both are R321 from getCork.

Urban Decay Naked 3 palette
Why this is all the way down the list, I don’t know. I want this baby. It is now available locally, but how much is in stock…that’s another story. I am hoping beyond hope that one is still available on the 25th of this month (yes, I’m going to be bad and just buy it…if I can). You don’t even want to know the price T_T

Bloggers everywhere are talking about this stuff. It apparently does wonders for your skin. I would love to test the Indeed Laboratories version. This stuff…cry…is like R400 though. So that’d be a splurge if I get around to buying it. Got this on sale at Clicks!
