All I want this February…

…is a lot of things, apparently. Whoops. Hi again. So, I’m still lusting after the Dior highlighter (anyone know when the spring collection will hit stores?) and the BeautyBlender (I see it’s R398 over here). But really, the lusting never ends. So what’s on the list this month?

The BeautyBox Mini Organiser – R599 (+R100 shipping)
I have the 3 drawer organiser, which I love! But my collection has sort of outgrown that, and I’ve changed where I actually do my makeup. I was doing it in front of the mirror, standing and now that I’ve actually tidied my room, I’m sitting at my desk. So, I thought a nice little organiser to put on my desk with my daily beauty crap could be a winner. Let’s see.

Glossier Milky Jelly Cleanser – $18/R290
This stuff looks awesome. I almost clicked buy earlier this month but then I saw in the FAQ that they don’t accept international credit cards and I started wondering if a South African credit card would be considered international. I mean, is an international credit card a card you can use anywhere in the world, or a card that is not native to the United States?

Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair – R700
I’ve always, always, always wanted to try this. I’m getting wrinkles, guys. It’s horrible 😥 I realise now is too late to turn back time but maybe I can try slow things down? I don’t know. Anyway, this is a pricey little endeavour but I heard that ANR lasts forever. Can anyone back this up? Got this in May for my birthday! 😀

Paula’s Choice Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant – R460
I have oily skin and apparently BHAs are awesome for people like me. I’ve been wanting to try Paula’s Choice for ages now and just never got around to it. Maybe I should just take the plunge?

I think only the highlighter is going to happen this month, to be honest. I’m planning on painting my room – that takes money – and maybe buy new curtains (mine are currently black…not going to suit the new colour scheme) and might get a few decor bits. Okay, so maybe I’ll get the organiser too 😛

What’s on your list this month?

Finishing all the things

January (oh my gosh, I can’t believe it’s already February…) was a successful month in the bin department. I managed to finish up a lot…yay!

Joico K-Pak Shampoo
Last year (or was it?) when Retailbox started doing their Secret Boxes (I think this one was only R100 or R200 for 3 items! Bargain!), I bought one and mine contained the Joico K-Pak shampoo, conditioner and treatment stuff that smells a bit like bananas. So, how did it fair? It was really nice! I wouldn’t repurchase, though. 2 reasons for that: 1) it’s expensive. I can think of better things to spend my money on…sorry Joico! and 2) I’ve stopped using shampoos that have sulfates in them. My scalp is in a better condition because of it, and my hair doesn’t dry out as fast.

Lush – It’s Raining Men Shower Gel (250g)
I got this last year May for my birthday and have been savouring it ever since. This is my absolute, ultimate favourite smelling body wash at the moment. It’s a bit of a splurge, so I usually put it on my birthday or Christmas wishlist. This will definitely be making its way onto this year’s list…again 🙂

Max Factor Masterpiece Transform High Impact Volumising Mascara
Oh my gosh, what a name. I bought this thanks to all the hype that was going around at the time it was released. When I first tried it, I have to say I didn’t like it. It seemed a bit wet and my lashes looked spidery – not a look I like. But I persevered and I’m glad I did. Once the formula dried up a little, it was fantastic. Very volumising! I won’t buy it again (probably) because there’s just so many mascaras out there, but I did really like it at the time.

Clinique Sparkle Skin Body Exfoliator
This is my second favourite body scrub – the first being Soap & Glory’s Breakfast Scrub. This is the best, though. It smells minty, feels fresh and zingy and is appropriately scrubby. Like the Lush shower gel, this is a major splurge at like R300+ a tube but oh my word, I love it. This is my second tube, by the way. I got it as a present in case you’re wondering if I’m completely nutty for buying something so expensive that gets washed down the drain 😛

Joico K-Pak Intense Hydrator Treatment
Basically, the conditioner counterpart to the shampoo. This stuff was glorious, actually. Made my hair feel like princess hair every single time! Still, the price scares the crap out of me. Sorry, Joico.

Dirty Works Pore-fect Facial Hot Cloth Cleanser
This was a meh one for me. I saw a lot of positive reviews online, many of which mentioned this takes off makeup really well, so I thought I’d give it a go. No. It does not take off makeup. Well, maybe if you scrub your face with a facecloth or something. I ended up using this as a morning cream cleanser – which was fine. I didn’t repurchase – got my The Body Shop Tea Tree Cool and Creamy Wash (a big love).

Palmer’s Coconut Oil Formula Deep Conditioning Protein Pack
If you happen to sniff my hair and it smells like coconut…this is why. This deep conditioning mask is basically my life. I have super curly, frizzy hair and this makes it amazing every time. I normally just plonk it on damp or dry hair, work it in and leave it on for like an hour+. And I use the whole sachet, just so you know. There’s a lot in the baggy, but I just put it alllll on. Oh yes.

Nivea Creme Soft Shower Cream
I used this after I finished up the Lush shower gel. Cheap and cheerful…but it didn’t last long. I think I use a lot of product, maybe. I’ll probably buy this again sometime – I like to swap between Nivea, Dove, Radox, Palmolive, etc when it comes to this stuff.

Lush Ultrabland (small pot)
I finally got hold of this! Awhile ago, my local Lush just did not have stock. I had heard all over the internets that this stuff is the bomb.com. I kinda think it is IF you’re okay with having to towel this off – it doesn’t emulsify completely with water. It also might leave a bit of a residue…I didn’t personally experience this but I do have oily skin so maybe I didn’t even realise it. I’ll be getting this again, but I’m currently in love with a makeup remover from Skoon and I sorta wanna be splurgy and get the Glossier Milky Jelly…

Johnson’s Face Care Daily Essentials Refreshing Facial Cleansing Wipes for Normal Skin
A staple. I use this to take my makeup off before gym. I find this pretty drying, but when I get home I properly wash my face so I kinda just ignore it.
