Jan/Feb empties

I thought I’d document some of the beauty/body products I’ve finished throughout mid-January until end of February. This is mostly just to help me establish what things I use on a regular basis, how much I get through in a month, and to help streamline my shelves.

The Body Shop Papaya Exfoliator
I’ve had this forever, and to be honest, I completely forgot I even had it. While cleaning up, I unearthed it and decided it was time to finish it off. I was already halfway through the tub, so it didn’t take too long to finish.

I find with the exfoliators that come in a tub from The Body Shop, they never really last long. Also, if you’re going to use it in the shower, it’s pretty hard to avoid getting water into the tub. In all, I much prefer using the exfoliators that come in a tube, but I tend to like the flavours that come in the inconvenient packaging 😛

Did I repurchase? Yes. But, I got the Moringa flavour this time around – which I prefer – and it’s still going strong.

Soap & Glory – The Breakfast Scrub
This shit is my holy grail. It’s like an oat and maple syrup smoothie for your skin. Except, it’s not smooth. It’s an exfoliator. But oh my, is it heavenly. When I scraped the last bit out the tub, I was hit with an “OH NO” moment. After a rushed shower, I logged onto Rubybox to order another. Alas, it was all soldout. Guys, restock this. I need this in my life.

The Body Shop Moringa Body Butter (mini)
I received a set of mini body butters AGES ago. Like with the Papaya stuff, I found a stash of these mini butters when I was cleaning up. The strawberry one is now at work, acting as a hand cream because the liquid soap in this place is super drying, and I’m currently trying to finish the Sweet Lemon flavour, but I think time hasn’t been very good to it because it kinda just smells like cream. Oh well.

Repurchase? Yes. I’ve finished a normal size one in the past, so I knew I’d like this flavour, but I have so many body butters lurking around from various birthdays and Christmases, I won’t be buying a replacement anytime soon. Now, if Rubybox started selling the Soap & Glory Smoothie Star range… um, then yes, I’d buy 😛

The Body Shop Vanilla Bliss Body Polish
I love Christmas time, because it means the limited edition vanilla stuff pops up all over the place. I love the smell of this range. This was also an exfoliator. Yes, I got through A LOT of scrubby stuff. Whoops. I’ll be getting some more in December again, obviously.

Neutrogena Extra Gentle Cleanser
This has been my morning facewash of choice for a long time now. I’m the sort that finds it hard to find face products that don’t cause me to break out in some sort of allergic reaction. I was very bleak when this ran out. I’ve got a squeeze tube of Johnson & Johnson stuff to finish first, so I’ll be getting a replacement when that’s done.

Soap & Glory – Clean on Me body wash
The scent wasn’t really for me, but it lasted a longggg time, was nice and fresh for morning showers, but really, I’m more a vanilla/nut sort of person. I’m glad I gave it a try, though. Goooo Rubybox for stocking this awesome brand 🙂
