Another empties post. I know. I need to consider actually doing something. Like writing real things. Anyhoo, here we go:
Woolworths Vanilla and Brown Sugar Exfoliating Gel
Probably won’t be repurchasing this. It was…alright…but it smelt a little artificial and it wasn’t super scrubby. I went through this super quickly (about a week or two). Yeah. Just really underwhelmed.
Eucerin Dermo PURIFIER Adjunctive Hydrating Care Face Cream
This was super moisturising, but too moisturising for my needs. I by mistake grabbed the “Adjunctive” version (which is specially formulated for those who are on acne treatment like Roaccutane, which I’m not on) because it had an SPF. It took FOREVER to finish because of it’s texture and formulation. I won’t be repurchasing, simply because it wasn’t suited to my needs.
The Body Shop Camomile Silky Cleansing Oil
One word – love. This stuff was amazing and is definitely something I’ll be getting again. It felt so smooth and magical on my skin, and literally removed EVERYTHING that has ever been on my face without drying my skin out or making it feel tight and bleh. It also didn’t sting my eyes or make them feel itchy and weird, so big up!
I decided to give the Clinique – Take the Day Off Balm instead of getting this again, simply because I’d never tried a solid face cleaner, and because I had read so many reviews about how great it is. Once I’m done with the Clinique, I’m going to give the solid balm version of The Body Shop Camomile face cleanser.
Yardley Oatmeal Spot Buster
Not exactly the most glamorous thing to put on the list, but I found it works for me. I repurchased it, but I think when it’s done, I’m going to give the Vichy version a go. I’ve tried the Garnier version, and it was terrible. It broke me out and was just plain horrible.
Johnson’s Face Care Daily Essentials Oil Balancing Gel Wash
I found this in my cupboard and decided to finish it up. I ha only used it a few times and put it aside. I kind of remember why – it feels sort of drying? I don’t know, it’s just not as comfortable as my usual Neutrogena cleanser (I had finished it, which why I was using this one). I ended up repurchasing the Neutrogena stuff after I finished the Johnson’s.
The Body Shop Luxury Facial Flannel
Love this. Feels so silky and soft and gentle and and and… But, my brother had been using it. Sigh. And managed to get some gross guy gunk on it or something, so I just threw it away and rebought this. Ugh. Brothers.
Woolworths Soothing Eye Gel for Sensitive Skin
This lasted *forever* It’s nothing to run home about. I didn’t end up rebuying it. I got something from The Body Shop instead.
Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Mini
Sigh. I want to love this stuff. But honestly? I really don’t. When it’s new, then yes, it’s great. But when you get to the point where the doe foot applicator is no longer effectively reaching the product, it’s just a lus and it sucks. I had to cut mine in half to get the last bits out. Last bits is actually the wrong word for it. It’s more like ALL the product is sitting in the depths of this stupid container. Anyway, I miss the Smashbox Eyelid Primer. I bought MAC Painterly to try as a replacement, and so far it’s actually really nice…
And that’s it. Phew.
